10 Best Golf Courses I have Played

  Cordillera Ranch Golf Club          Cordillera Ranch Golf Club is located in Boerne, TX just outside of San Antonio. It's an absolutely phenomenal course with so many awesome and architecturally beautiful holes. The one above is hole number 16 and is one of the coolest par 3's I have ever played. The hole requires you to hit a 4 iron from the tips and the green is small and obviously elevated, but the challenge of it is what makes the hole so much fun to play. The course is very similar overall with a lot of holes lined by creeks and streams. Also, many holes are tree-lined and provide some good shots off the tee to put yourself in good shape. The bunkering around the course is magnificently done and makes it difficult to get out of and they are also placed in good positions off the tee that require a good tee shot to avoid them.           The facilities and course itself are very well kept with some of the smoothest rolling bent grass greens I have ever played. Bayou DeSiard Country Club       Bayou DeSiard Country Club is located in Monroe, LA. This was one of the most fun and interesting courses I have played. I had the privilege of playing this course in the summer when it was over 100 degrees and very humid. The course was in phenomenal shape though. The thing that makes this course interesting is the layout. The layout is like nothing I have really seen before which made it a challenge, but a fun one to play. In most courses, you can see a pattern from the architect on how he styles his courses whether that may be lots of dog legs or lots of straight holes with obstacles such as bunkers and hazards. With this course though, there is a mix of everything with a lot of different styles of holes which makes you think more. The greens are also very firm and fast making the longer holes that much tougher to be able to hit the green and get it close.     The course is very old-fashioned and has been around since 1948.  The Plantation Golf Club The Plantation Golf Club     The Plantation Golf Club is located in La Quinta, California. This is one of the coolest experiences I have ever had at a golf course. This golf is an all-men's club so it is very exclusive and a lot of celebrities have played it. Michael Jordan and Phil Mickelson are 2 famous names to have played and Phil even has the course record. The coolest part about the course though, other than how pretty it is, is that they don't want anybody using their phones a lot out there and it is all about experiencing the course for yourself.     The course itself is a magnificent work of art and is a phenomenal example of architectural design. It is lined by palm trees on nearly every single hole and multiple holes that provide risk-reward shots over water making it inviting, but dangerous at the same time to go for it.
